A covered soup tureen that was made in London 1828 by Benjamin Smith and decorated with scroll and foliate decoration. It stands 13 inches high to top of handle, 15 inches across the handles and weights 4452gms. It is engraved with the crest of a Lion handling in his forepaws a lozenge.
