George II Eye Bath Augsberg c1740 by Peter Rox II

Probably made by Peter Rox II, this eye bath measures 2.4" (6.1cm) across the larger oval bowl and 1.5" (4cm) across the smaller circular bowl. Eye baths were usually part of a toilet service and Continental examples like this were reversible, often being used as an egg cup on one side and as a salt cellar on the other.
