Colour Twist English Drinking Glasses

The wonderful glass central to our picture is a rare English Mixed Colour and Air Twist Stem Glass, circa 1765. The stem with a fine mint green and white enamel twist around a gauze air twist, the engraved bowl with a botanical style Star Lily and a Crested Jay. This glass is pictured in the book of the  A.C. Hubbard Collection, “A Wine -Lover’s Glasses” Page 52, plate 73.  Sold at Bonhams, Nov.30, 2011, lot 228. 17.3cm high.  £6,850.
