A Rare and Superb English Bread Basket, made in Sheffield in 1775 by R. Morton and Co, being oval in form with a completely pierced body bearing mounted bellflower and paterae swags and jabots. The hinge mounted handle with bead moulding, cast satyr masks and pierced central section. The applied foot also elaborately pierced. Edges mounted with a bound thread molding. A truly exceptional piece of silver. It measures approx. 33cm. by 27.5 cm.
